My Favorite Bible Verse

Miss Lily over at Lily Mae's Day tagged me some time ago to do a post on my favorite Bible verse. It took me a while to get around to it sheepish smile, but I was finally inspired to post something.
There are a number of Bible verses or passages that I absolutely love. After all, every word of the Bible is God breathed. But recently, I read a verse in 2 Corinthians that has stuck with me since.

"For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich." - 2 Corinthians 8:9

What a humbling verse - and one that shows a glimpse of just how much Jesus loves us. He was rich, the King of all creation and God of eternity. Yet He stepped down from His throne, exchanging His crown of glory for one of thorns, giving His life so that I can become an heir to the kingdom of Heaven. Often, when I feel as though life is throwing me something I don't deserve I remember this verse, and it reminds me of how much he gave so that I can rest in His love as a child of God.

What is one of your favorite Bible verses? I'd love to hear about it!!
