About Me

Welcome and thanks for stopping by!

My name is Anita. I'm a sixteen seventeen-year-old writer, reader, horse lover, musician, big sister, proud homeschooler, farm girl forever, prairie lover, and a Christian saved by the grace of Jesus Christ. A few of my loves in life are: books - frappes - open windows -  anything to do with midwifery - the smell of hay - flickering candles - books (did I say that already?) - and riding horses fast and free. I am also the kind of girl who is disappointed when she can't find Narnia in her closet. (I started looking at the age of eight - so far without success)
I fell in love with words the moment I learned to read them, and my passion for stories has grown ever since. I dream of one day being a professionally published author, but for now am living life to the fullest and am waiting for God to open doors as He sees fit.
This is a blog of short stories, prose, and perhaps a little bit of poetry all written by me. It is one of my first attempts to show my writing works to others, and hopefully bless them by it.
My work has been published HERE on The Rebelution, and I am also privileged to be the youngest writer on the blog/website Anchored by Grace  - which is written by a group of women devoted to God and passionate about encouraging others in their walk with the Lord.
I enjoy writing historical fiction and occasionally contemporary. You'll  often catch a glimpse into my life as a cowgirl when you read the non-fiction stories where my sassy red mare teaches me a few lessons in life, laughter and love.
Every story that I post is a reflection of my imagination and my desire to witness for Jesus Christ. I pray that you will not only enjoy your peek into my life and thoughts, but will be blessed by it as well, even if it is only through a smile to brighten your day!
    Enjoy your stay!
